APS Entrepreneurial
Training

APS provides entrepreneurial training adapted to the needs of under-served communities. APS trains families (youth & adults), organizations, and the self-employed on how to turn innovative ideas, skills, and abilities into business ownership. Trainees learn how to earn income by providing goods and services to local, national and international customers. APS entrepreneurial trainers share their own experiences and expertise to help clients realize their entrepreneurial ambitions. Our clients are trained on a variety of business matters and technologies.  Clients also receive counseling from existing business owners.

APS “And Still We Rise” Youth Development Training Services

The APS “RITES” of Passage” youth development model, is a culturally relevant socialization process. It is a technique for sharing essential knowledge in the areas of history, culture and life skills. The training model is designed to develop a sense of consciousness, competence and commitment in the service of family, community and society. Our multi-media resource center affords a virtual training modality that is the cornerstone of our youth development programming. 

APS “Youth Build Volunteers” are an integral part of our rites of passage training. We recruit the best of individuals to work with us in various support roles. We require that all volunteers must pass a stringent verification and certification process which includes APS youth support orientation and training.

In our technology-based society, computer literacy is only one of many multi-media skills needed. Families, organizations, and businesses must be able to function in a fast-changing technological world. APS multi-media training makes learning to use digital technology (computers, scanners, printers, smart phones, cameras, the internet, etc.) both easy and functional. Experienced trainers, tailor instruction to meet the needs of the client population. Participants learn basic to advance multimedia skills in a comfortable, stress free supportive environment. We offer our service pop.ulation, state-of-the-art multi-media training and resources. Our emphasis on entrepreneurial technology, helps to close the digital divide

We provide cultural relevant parenting training, focused on the proper care and socializing of African American children. Our training curriculum starts with classes for expecting parents/guardians. Subsequent classes fallow the maturational development of children and teens, concluding with emancipation of the young adult. Training also covers co-parenting skills and constructive parenting relationships.
